[ICA 2022] Virtual Attendance Option is available! Also,
early registration is extended to Jul. 22, 2022!
Dear ICA 2022 Authors and Participants,
Thanks for your participation in ICA 2022 to be held in
Gyeongju, Korea.
As already announced, the congress format of ICA 2022
will be a face-to-face one in principle. Also, you remember that we promised
the virtual format in parallel to the in-face meeting. Considering the
uncertainty in the COVID-19 spreading in the world and the participants who may
have difficulties travelling to Korea in the autumn season, the organizing
committee of ICA2022 is currently preparing the hybrid conference format.
However, due to the financial problems in operation, we exclude the real-time
broadcasting of the presentation.
For the participants who cannot physically attend and
present at the congress, please select ‘virtual’
option when you submit the final paper. You can also modify your attendance
option on the ‘Participant Info’ page (either ‘In person’ or ‘Virtual’). The
registration fees are identically requested regardless of the attendance
option.
The following is the detailed information for the
virtual participants and presenters: ● On-site participants making in-person presentations at the venue will be
asked if the recording of their presentation will be allowed. The recorded
video file, including Q&A, will be uploaded on the virtual platform after
the congress. (It can be replaced with the VOD without on-site recording.)
● Participants of the virtual congress will be asked to submit their
pre-recorded video files (VOD) for all accepted full papers before the congress
by September 22. Detailed guidelines will be announced in August. The pre-recorded
video files (VOD) will be provided on the virtual platform during the congress.
The Q&A for each presentation in the virtual format VOD will be collected through
the virtual platform.
● The virtual congress with recorded in-person presentations and uploaded VODs
with Q&A will be available for viewing for 1 week after the congress.
The deadline for the Early-Bird Registration will be
extended for a week, i.e., July 22, to provide a chance for the participants who
missed the deadline for some reason. So, please do not miss the opportunity to
register before July 22 to get a discounted registration fee!
Of course, we have a Plan B in case of worsening conditions.
If (1) there is mandatory isolation for visitors coming from outside of Korea
or (2) mass gatherings are prohibited by the government, then the congress mode
will be also available on-line format.
We earnestly hope to see you in Gyeongju in October!
Best regards,
Prof. Jeong-Guon Ih
President
Organizing Committee of ICA 2022
