ICA 2022 Presentation Guidelines

ICA 2022 will be held in a hybrid format (In-person basis and Virtual participation are possible), and all the following detailed information is for both virtual participants and presenters:
  • -Oral presentations presenters will be asked to submit their pre-recorded video files (For VOD) for all accepted full papers before the congress by October 16. (It can also be replaced with an on-site recording video. Therefore, if you have not submitted a video file, please understand that the on-site recording will be required. Participants will not be able to download the videos, nor will they be used for any purpose other than reading during the congress.)
  • -The pre-recorded video files (For VOD) will be provided on the virtual platform during the congress. The Q&A for each presentation in the virtual VOD format will be collected through the virtual platform.
  • -The virtual congress with recorded in-person presentations and uploaded videos with Q&A will be available for viewing as VOD for 1 week after the congress.
The ICA 2022 program will be organized according to your final attendance choice, so please submit your final attendance decision as accurately as possible when you submit the paper (In-person or virtually) by August.
The session number will be allocated once the session is finalized in early September. We will notify your presentation type and session number as they become available.

  • -As for the aspect ratio of your presentation file (slides), a ratio of 16:9 is recommended.
  • -MS PowerPoint file in 2010 or 2013 versions or PDF.
  • -Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (Special fonts might be changed to a default font.)
  • -Images should be in JPG, GIF or BMP format.
In-person (Onsite)
  • -All on-site oral presenters must be on-site. There will be NO live streaming.
  • -Oral presentations presenters will be asked to submit their pre-recorded video files (For VOD) for all accepted full papers before the congress.(It can also be replaced with an on-site recording video. Therefore, if you have not submitted a video file, please understand that the on-site recording will be required. Participants will not be able to download the videos, nor will they be used for any purpose other than reading during the congress.)
  • -On the Virtual Platform, presenters will have an opportunity to interact (answer questions) with virtual attendees via the “DISCUSSION” section of each presentation.
Required Material(s) Presentation Slides(Submit to the Preview Room onsite) and Pre-recorded presentation (Max. 12 min.) - Recommended (by October 16)
Time 20-minute Slot:
  • -12 min presentation (Max)
  • -5 min discussion
  • -3 min break (Time for transition to next presentation)
Time limits will be strictly enforced by automatic alarm clocks in all lecture rooms. The Session Chair will stop presentations that go over the allotted time. Therefore, it is important that all presenters adhere to the strict time limit.
How to Submit
  • -Please visit the Preview Room (1F) at least 1 hour before your scheduled presentation and bring your presentation files on a USB memory stick.
  • -Presenters are requested to check their presentation files to ensure they work correctly in our system.
Equipment
  • -Session rooms will be equipped with a monitor, microphone, mouse, and smart pointer.
  • -SWe DO NOT recommend using your own laptop computer for your presentation to avoid problems with computer-projector compatibility.
  • **Apple Macintosh / Apple Keynote / Personal Laptop Users: Please visit the onsite preview room and bring your Mini Display Port-VGA Adapter.
Before your Presentation
  • -Please be sure to keep to the allocated presentation time in consideration of the next speaker.
  • -Arrive at your session room at least 10 minutes before the session begins.
  • -You will be responsible for controlling/advancing your presentation slides.

How to Record We recommend you use Zoom or PowerPoint or any similar virtual meeting platform to record your presentation, using Screen Share for your presentation slides.

Recording Tips
  • -Use the headphones or earphones with the microphone.
  • -Use a laptop or desktop with web camera if possible.
  • -During recording, use the keyboard instead of the mouse to flip the presentation slides to prevent mouse sounds from being recorded.

  • -Please stand in front of your poster before the session begins.
  • -Presenting authors should present beside their posters during the assigned sessions.
  • -Poster presentation authors will be notified of the details of their presentation time individually.
  • -All presenters should remove posters at removal time. If not, posters will be removed by staff without notice and the organizing committee will not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged posters.
How to Submit Printed Presentation File Poster should be set up on the poster board number assigned to you during the affixation time designated date and time as above table.
Adhesive tape will be available to attach your poster to the panel. (Tape will be provided in the poster session room)
