Post-entry PCR testing requirement will be lifted starting from October 1, 2022

Korea will remove a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing requirement for inbound travelers on the first day of their arrival amid the waning virus wave, authorities said Friday(9/30,2022).

The measure will take effect Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Those who show virus symptoms within three days of their arrival here can undergo a free PCR test at public health centers across the country.

The Korean government has been easing overall quarantine measures, such as canceling the obligation to wear outdoor masks, leaving only restrictions on wearing masks indoors.
